How I Got Here
Before studying acupuncture, I had a 30-year career in nursing,
primarily in Obstetrics, Newborn Nursery and NICU (Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit), and Lactation (Breastfeeding support and education).
You may be wondering why a nurse with a long career would go back
to school to study acupuncture.

This
Is My Story
Have you ever become so exhausted you could hardly get through
your day? 20 years ago that happened to me. I also developed constant
pain in my joints and muscles, so bad that it hurt if someone
just touched me.

I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1994. No treatment
helped much. I was wondering about applying for disability. I
never could have imagined that I would work and go back to school.

People asked me. "Have you tried acupuncture?" But I
didn't know where to look for a good acupuncturist.

Then I met a graduate student at Tai Sophia Institute. She referred
me to a Clinical Acupuncture Intern in the Faculty-Supervised
Student Clinic. I was desperate to feel better, so I went for
treatment.

Gradually my pain went away, and my energy returned. It was Amazing!
I GOT MY LIFE BACK! The pain and chronic fatigue are gone, and
I am able to do more than I ever imagined. I also found peace
and joy in living, as well as the inspiration to expand my personal
and professional life.

I went to school to study acupuncture, and now I am sharing this
amazing medicine with others. It is a great pleasure to be able
to take the time people need and offer the best care I can give,
the kind I would like to receive myself, and which I believe everyone
deserves.
